Oasis Focuser Rose is the second generation of the Astroasis electronic focuser. On the basis of the first generation, the second generation has made important improvements and is a perfect electronic focuser for astrophotography.
Introduction
Compared with the first generation, the second generation has made the following improvements:
1、Convenient power supply — It can be powered by either the USB Type-C port or the 12V DC port.

5、Improved reliability — Motor is upgraded to improve reliability. PCB is re-desigened to improve reliability of power module, USB/DC/Temperature sockets etc.
6、Better connection method — The connection method of the fixed-part and the rotationable part is improved. The connection of the fixed-part and the rotationable part is more stable.
7、More compact dimensions — Compared to the first generation, the second generation Oasis focuser body has a 14.5mm reduction in the length and a 4mm reduction in the diameter of the rotationable part.

Auto-focus curve graphs
Oasis Focuser uses gears instead of coupling and has good rigidity, which helps to achieve excellent backlash compensation performance and focusing accuracy. On most telescopes, each motor step moves less than 1μm distance and has high precision.
Here are graphs of the auto-focus curve we got by running 12 consecutive auto-focus sessions using NINA. The telescope used is SkyRover 102 APO Pro. As we can see the focus positions after each auto-focus are very close, with the minimum position being 39582 and the maximum position being 39593. On the SkyRover 102 APO, the moving distance of each motor step is 0.8μm. So the maximum position deviation between each of the 12 consecutive auto-focus is less than 9μm. All the hyperbolic fitting coefficient of determination (R2) are above 0.99, indicating that the focusing results have high stability and accuracy.

Please note:
Many factors may impact the auto-focus result, such as wind, seeing, and the auto-focus parameter settings etc. In order to get good auto-focus results like the ones shown above, we need to do many things right.
